Thomas J. Campbell, Founder and Managing Partner

Mr. Campbell is the Founder and Managing Partner of DC Capital Partners, LLC.  The firm focuses on control equity investments in middle market Government Services and Engineering and Construction Services companies based in the United States.

Currently, Mr. Campbell is the Chairman and the controlling shareholder of: Owl Cyber Defense, LLC, Tresys Technology LLC, Caliburn Holdings, LLC; Michael Baker International, LLC; Pond Holdings, LLC; AMA Consulting Engineers, LLC, and The SPECTRUM Group, LLC.  Prior to founding DC Capital in 2007, Mr. Campbell was a Partner of Veritas Capital Management, LLC from 1992 through 2006 having been a Co-Founder of The Veritas Capital Fund, L.P. and one of the two Managing Members of the successor fund, The Veritas Capital Fund II, L.P. Prior to that time he was a Senior and Founding Member of the Merchant Banking Group of Wasserstein & Perella Co., Inc. since its inception in 1988. Prior to joining Wasserstein & Perella Co., Inc., Mr. Campbell was an officer of Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co., where he was a member of the Acquisition Finance Group that was responsible for originating, structuring, and syndicating leveraged loans for such notable sponsors as Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., among others. He began his business career in 1980 as a staff accountant at Coopers and Lybrand where he advanced to the position of tax manager, CPA, before his departure.

Over the last 30 years, Mr. Campbell has served as a member of the Boards of Directors of public and private companies operating both within the US and globally and for numerous investments including, but not limited to Pneumo Abex Corporation; Wickes Companies, Inc.; HITCO Technologies, Inc.; Maybelline, Inc.; Integrated Defense Technologies, Inc.; TRAK Communications, Inc.; Vertex Aerospace, LLC; DynCorp International Inc.; Continental Electronics, Inc.; Enterprise Electronics Corporation; Athena Innovative Solutions, Inc.; McNeil Technologies, Inc.; and Trawick Associates, Inc. Other investments recently controlled by Mr. Campbell and for which he served as Chairman include, but are not limited to, National Interest Security Company, LLC; SC3, LLC; QRC Technologies, LLC; and International Development Solutions, LLC.

Mr. Campbell is active in both geopolitical and philanthropic endeavors.  He currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Middle East Institute and is a former Vice Chairman of the organization.  He serves on the Board of Directors of USO Metro, and the Board of Trustees of the Pomfret School.  Her formally served on the Board of Trustees of Lehigh University and served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fordham Preparatory School. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Center for a New American Security and the National Guard Youth Foundation.

Mr. Campbell received a B.S. degree with a double major in Finance and Accounting from Lehigh University.
