Possessing over 20 years' combined experience in the print advertising and digital media fields, my journey into the digital realm began as a Digital Prepress Specialist in Los Angeles for SelectGraphics. Quickly thereafter, I worked my way to Production Manager of the busy Los Angeles Service Bureau. My experience there included several large accounts such as Sketchers Shoes, The Los Angeles Times, Clifford Electronics, MarineLand and various other organizations. This experience served as a catalyst for my adventure in the digital media field.
After satisfying my craving of desktop publishing and gorging on the cutting-edge technology of prepress available at the time, I decided to expand my existing knowledge and skills and tackle the quickly growing multimedia arena. I embarked on a cross-country move to quench my thirst for all things digital. Going back to school at Full Sail University in Orlando was an adventure in self-affirmation. Attending classes with such a diverse and creative crowd was a motivational endeavor. Keeping up with my fellow students certainly proved to be training ground for what laid ahead. After graduating from an accelerated program, I gained experience in software development at InfoSource by developing training materials for CDs as well as online deployment. Gaining experience in video production as well as product development added to my expanding knowledge in the multimedia arena. My next assignment came as the Art Director for an advertising agency based in Florida. Projects completed at CGS Ad Group primarily focused on interactive CD development and included extensive work for Florida Hospital, various hotels, and entertainment companies. My time there was spent not only on project management but also on all aspects of design and development. Serving as direct client contact as well as doing the production made for a hands-on, fully-involved process, which inevitably resulted in a more successful product.
Continuing this journey led me to Atlanta and a "start-up" which was all the rage in the early oughts. This was a great idea but just a tad early in the grand scheme of things. Digital Advertising Technologies allowed me to submerge myself in the world of motion graphics, advertising and marketing solutions. Luckily with no financial investment made, I reaped the benefits of what was an enterprising but short-lived endeavor. While there, I learned more about video technical issues than I would have ever imagined. I produced motion ads along with directing all video and internet connection aspects of the business. Doors closing on this chapter guided me to a very rewarding experience in the world of web development - yet another skill set soon to be acquired.
That next step taken down the road had me wandering into Virtual Magic. What was initially a short-term project turned into 7 years of learning and growth that impacted my current direction. The knowledge gained and skills learned were a major stepping-stone in my career. During these years, I handled web development and maintenance along with motion graphics, video and special projects. As a result of these assignments, I interacted and coordinated projects for companies including Coca-Cola, Emory University, The Blackstone Group and various financial and investment firms. After years of close interaction with a multitude of clients, these relationships have created continued success in other projects.
Currently, I am conducting freelance and contract work as ElemVisuals. My services include all facets of website design and development. In addition to my web and multimedia tools, I also work on print design and production encompassing all aspects of prepress and quality control along with consultation on any graphic design issues. These present projects include clients established from past work including Coca-Cola, Emory University, and several others. My clients and I would be happy to share any of these experiences in more detail.
This extensive background has enabled me to deliver outstanding results in a wide array of multimedia projects. If you want exceptional experience in the design and development of your project, please contact me to begin!
